In 1990, Dennis L. Martire began his career with the Laborers’ International Union of North America, or LIUNA. He started this long-held tenure as an international representative for the LIUNA jurisdictional disputes department. He advanced during the following years, becoming assistant director then director for the construction department. By 2000, Martire had proven himself as an immense asset to LIUNA, which named him assistant regional manager of the mid-Atlantic region. Only two years later, in 2002, Martire was named to the role that he currently holds to this day; he was elected as vice president and regional manager for this mid-Atlantic area. All of these achievements and advancements followed Martire’s education at Wesleyan College in West Virginia where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in government in 1986.
Dennis Martire has found many successes during his time with LIUNA, including ensuring fair wages for working families, unionizing workers on the Route 495 hot lanes project, overseeing LIUNA’s top-notch training program and lending his leadership to several boards and committees. Martire brings both expertise and personal experience to his role. He is not only experienced within the labor field, but he’s a proud member of Labor Union #1058 as well.
